| Overview: This three-day course teaches participants to automate tasks using FrameScript in FrameMaker.
FrameScript only requires the knowledge of its own scripting language.
Commands are simplified with multiple options and easy to configure defaults for almost everything.
While a programming background is beneficial, it is not strictly required to learn FrameScript.

Prerequisite: Our Adobe Unstructured Framemaker Basics and some prior programming experience (in any language), or a working knowledge of programming concepts such as keywords, variables, loops, and functions is recommended.

Objectives: Upon successful completion attendees will be able to:
- Understand what scripts are and how they can automate FrameMaker
- Write, run, install, debug and troubleshoot scripts
- Make a library of reusable code and combine code
- Test for objects and work with their properties
- Work with subroutines and loops to automate within scripts
- Open documents and books and suppress messages to apply commands to multiple documents at once
- Control all paragraph and character properties to automate text formatting
- Automate conditional text modifications to show, hide, apply, modify or remove conditions
- Work with graphics to insert images, unanchor graphics, manipulate anchored frames, modify properties of images and more
- Manipulate table content including properties of tables and rows or cells
- Create, insert and edit properties of markers, cross-references and variables
- Develop and modify menus in FrameMaker
- Control scripts with custom FrameMaker Palettes (similar to equation or drawing tools)
- Develop reports to detail the changes made to books or documents by FrameScript
