PDF Usability:

  • What elements make or break the usability of PDFs & how to efficiently plan and control them: display & print quality; layout and design; search capabilities and meta-data; reader orientation; interactive features; accessibility features; helping readers.

Designing Access to Information in PDF Document Collections:

  • Often, a group of relatively small PDFs is easier to manage and present than one huge document. Learn how to plan your PDF document collection wisely, so that information is accessible instantly - making the most of Acrobat's capabilities, and avoiding its limitations. A discussion of advanced navigation & hypertext, planning multiple access paths, design & orientation principles, and harnessing the hidden powers of the Search function.

Testing Your PDFs:

  • Testing principles and techniques for examining the quality of hypertext links and other interactive features, display of text and graphics, document properties, text accessibility and more.

    The topics and techniques discussed and demonstrated include many fine details, tips, tricks and workarounds, which are often not touched upon in Acrobat training and literature
